Hello, something looks of on the gaps for my grill. I restored and installed it myself but I think I may be missing some kind of spacer. The gap between the grill and the hood looks to big and the gap bround the grill becomes smaller at the top middle

Troy

Definitely not right. Has the upper flat portion of the grill sagged?

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

No sag. seems like maybe there should be a spacer??? Hood height and closes correctly.

This is actually very common. The steel grille shell sags there from people lating or leaning on it while doing things under the hood. The best way to take care of it is to take the center bolt out of the grille then pull up un the metel shell (header panel) until its past correct. Then draw the grille up with the screw. You may have to repeat this a few times cause the grille will try to pull it back down untill it is " retrained" to the original height.
