I am shopping for affordable aluminuim heads.  I was hoping to get a quality set of heads for $1,200 or less.  I heard the procomp were Chinese garbage, with valve clearance issues (uses chevy valves), but I haven't heard anything on the Stealth heads from 440 Source.  If anyone has used them, I would like to hear about the results.  Please see link below:

If you have a better suggestion, I am all ears......

I dropped an email to 440, hoping they will call me after I sent them specs on my project 440.  I also read the warning posted on the forum.  That was really good to know, so I can upgrade the locks too.  I hate to see that poor fella is having so much trouble.  Better to find it before hand that when it tool late.....

Is there a good place to buy 440 components cheaper the 440 Source.  I was planning on buying the heads from them, however, i sure hope they offer me a discount or package deal if i buy everything from them (pistons, rods, cam, lifters, etc.).  If not and they tell me to pound sand, where else can I go for a good deal on quality parts?

i am by no means an engine builder but i can spew out knowledge ive aquired by asking tons of questions to the best guys on here. ill be happy to tell you with the parts i went with after the reccomendations on here.

i wouldnt be looking for the cheapest parts you can find honestly. i sure as hell didnt buy the best of the best but i got some pretty good stuff i think.

i went with keith black icon forged pistons, total seal rings, scat h beam rods,  heres my cam and lifters http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LUN-60303LK/

i wanted to get decent stuff so i wouldnt have to worry about the bottom end ever.
