I guess it could be worse. How would you like to have stand at the door and say goodbye to the passengers on this flight?

RECHRGD

GEEEEEZE!!!!!!!!  It could have been a lot worse.  Isn't there a saying about "any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing".

What happened?  A super hard landing that dropped the engine down?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

im not an aeronautical engineer, but I would imagine that if the engine had dropped while in flight, the plane wouldnt have made it down.

I was once on a flight that was struck by lightning. I was back in the nosebleed section so I was the last one off the plane. I overheard the pilot and copilot talking since they though everyone was off and the copilot asked if they thought it would fly again and the pilot said no chance in he'll. Everything got messed up.

Then they saw me and appologized and said they were joking. Uh huh....sure guys.

If you look at the fuselage toward the front of the engine you can see the skin rippled going over the top toward the other engine. That's the aft pressure bulkhead where the tail is attached. Looks like it was not far from separating.

The Chiropractors in Peurto Ordaz will be busy for awhile.
