Quarter Window Parts

Hey guys,

I was going through my quarter windows while my quarters were off, to replace all the slides and rollers. I noticed that the kits offered don't give you the little wedge shaped rubber bump stops that cushion when the window hits the bottom of its travel. They are the ones that wedge into the bent metal bracket that is bolted to the boomerang looking frame. Also wondering about the little rubber band looking thing that cushions the top stop.

Any ideas on where to get these rubber pieces??

Speaking of the boomerang looking frame in the quarter windows, I found that one of mine was cracked in the middle of the long run of the bottom roller. We were able to weld it, but I'm a little concerned of how strong it will be. It already cracked once again while grinding the first weld job, and it has a little wave to it. Anyone have one of these for the driver side? and will the ones out of any Bbody fit, or are they Charger specific??

Wow!! Did I really stump the experts??  :o I've never seen that happen!!  :icon_smile_big:

Seriously,..... any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. If I don't find something, I may just have to come up with something that will do the same thing.

I am not sure what wedge pieces you are referring to in the quarter windows, but mine had round rubber bumpers stretched over metal brackets.  I just used some rubber hose and cut new ones.  I cannot remember what size hose was used, but they work just as new.

bull

Parts are pretty scant when it comes to rear window hardware. I've seen many repair kits for them but none included the rubber pads.

Yep, mine has those on the top stops. For the bottom of the travel, there's a bracket that bolts to the boomerang shaped frame that has a slot in it. On one side, I still had the split bumper that wedges into that slot, so at least I know what I'm looking for. May have to scrounge the different swap areas at shows until I find one. ...... or just find something else that will work. It's not like anyone will ever see it inside the quarter again.

It looks a lot like this (cad model image)
