When i got my 69 the locks were already taken out and now im finally reassembling the car and the aftermarket locks i got from year one don't seem to fit the holes on the doors and trunk.. Just wanted to check with you guys first before i try and hammer one in or send them back if this is how they're supposed to be? I can attach a pic tomorrow to show them.. the cylinder on the trunk wont even fit into the hole...  :shruggy:

your car have fresh paint? its common to have paint build up in the lock area. I used a small file to take a little paint off to get the locks to fit.

Ya freshly painted and i think i can get the door ones to fit it but the trunk one doesn't look like it'll fit at all.. Ill try and file them, Thanks!

Be uber careful with that file man. I'd put 2" blue painters tape all aroung the holes just in case.  The surgical use of a Dremel tool trumps a hand file. :Twocents:

Ditto, Had to take a small file and file off the excess paint on mine.
