Going through some of the threads on restorations I was amazed at some of the pics of the cars that had so much sheet metal off of them.  It got me to thinking who had there car down to the skeleton the furthest.  Any takers?   Please post pics to back up your story.

It's not a Charger but this is the most bare bones skeleton of a car that I have seen!

My car is gaining some celebrity status ;) I was thinking of WUZROTTN for a liecense plate???????? If I had to do it all over again I would've found a solid starter but at the time they were $20k plus.

:hah: :hah: :2thumbs: Famous indeed, nation wide, I mean world wide baby.   Now that is funny, go with personalized tag that jokes about it being crusty by some verbage.  I was leaning towards crusty on my driver.  NO different then most street rods floating around........  Besides, clearly looks to me you bought it another 40 or more years of life (if they still sell gas and we drive our own cars then :RantExplode:. )

Yes,this car does look skeletonized, but actually was'nt all that bad,the rear ww's,the frame rails, floors, rockers, lower firewall, inner fronts and rails all were real, real nice so the car still had alot of solid structure.I geuss I made it look worse than it really was,but for the most part,I wanted to de-skin it to get at all the inner structures  blasted and get epoxy everywhere that the factory did'nt even have.
Coming back from the blasters with the car like pictured,I had multiple people in stopp and go  traffic ask what it was cause they could'nt recognize it,thought that was real funny. One guy asked if was a mustang!!!LOL

I have a very good friend that did a challenger the same way.  He cut everything out that was rusted and he was left with the a shell of the cab area.  He did great though.  Cause it was cut down so much he went with full cage, quadlink rear and a full tube rear.  The roll cage extends out to the front suspension and engine compartment.  Looks fairly stock until you lift the hood.  Then it looks like a race car.
