Hey everyone, just signed up here because I want to get some answers about considering buying a 2006-2008 charger. First off, Im a 19 year old male so naturally I want a fun car. I was considering a mustang but the charger seems more apealing with the interior room. Is the Charger a fun car to drive? And how are the mod options for it? Also, how is the gas mileage? If you know of any other reasons for me to buy one, please feel free to share. Also what are the cons of the charger. Thanks, Ray

one of the biggest Cons to the Charger is weight ! and some would even say 4 doors... parts are about average compared to other muscle cars. do some research... police units should be coming up soon they are a lighter car, bettter suspension etc. just my  :Twocents:

There are some good & some bad points about both cars are you a Ford guy buy the Mustang :2thumbs: if you a Dodge guy buy the Charger  :2thumbs: there are a ton of bolt-on aftermarket parts for both of them... :Twocents: Do some research on both & make a educated decision ... :nana:

If you like the Mustang but the inside of the Charger is appealing, buy a Challenger.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

What is your budget and can you afford it?

I'd recommend renting each for a weekend and get some driving in.

I did in '08.  Bought the Mustang.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,

Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're

Well I can afford a charger or a mustang. the challenger is a bit out of my price range haha

I think your best place for input on the "new" so called Charger is a new car site.  Some members here have the new charger but this site is for and about the classic true muscle cars like my car in the picture below.  Good luck.

If it were me and since you can't afford to purchase a new challenger, I would go for a new Mustang!

Yes, Mustangs are two doors and lots of fun.  New or used.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Have you considered one of the 04-06 Goats? Lot of car for the money if you ask me. They can be found unmolested for a pretty reasonable price and are blast, especially the 6.0 models. Thought about picking one up myself for a daily driver since a G8 GT is a little out of my price range.
