Will the front and or rear bumper brackets interchange from 71/72 to 73/74? Are the rears the same?
I am trying to make a 73 charger look like a 71 RT and want to know if I can use a bumper from a 71.
Thanks
HH

71/72 are different from 73/34. The 73/74 style bracket holds the bumper out further from the fenders/quarters. You CAN physically bolt them on between different model years. So, yes, you can bolt the 71 bumper onto a 73/74. If you want ot eliminate the rubber fillers, use 71/72 brackets.

:iagree:

another difference is the two top of front bumper braces ( the ones that attach up to front of fender ) 71/72 is bolted directly to the bumper and 73/74 is bolted with a fastener on braces itself throught an "eyelet" lip of the bumper.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Do you have a picture of the 73-74 set up?
