I came across this video on youtube and thought it would answer easily what many do not understand. It's put out by brand X, but the theory is the same.

That is awesome! Thanks for posting. Love the very elaborate models, especially the working scale differential. Particularly the mock up of the driveshaft through the inside of the car - complete with brown parcel resting on it! Great stuff!  :rofl:

Here was a related video that I found interesting... The presenter makes it seem easy but also makes you want to have a crack at setting one up.... At least he uses Mopar gear marking paint  :yesnod:
