Enclosed Gooseneck Trailers

I have 3 chargers and a 2 car garage. So one of them is in the yard with a cover. Due to county regulation I can't build another garage or car port. But I can buy a trailer and keep it here. I have always wanted a goosenck trailer so Im thinking about buying one. I just checked the price of a haulmark 34 foot Race trailer and it's $13,409. Ive seen some 32 foot long trailers on ebay for 7-9k. Is it really worth all the extra money to buy a haulmark? I know they all have to meet standards to be D.O.T. compliant. Any advice?

Ive been doing the same research myself for awhile for similar reasons, just waiting to sell my open first. I dont think Haulmark is any better or worse than alot of the other major brands you see. They all have there low end and high models which is obvious when you look at them. Classic, vintage, Pace, are also well spoken of. I would keep a close eye on craigslist as they pop up all the time. Try to find one with 16" wheels which should be on the size your looking at anyways.

Haulmark is like the Ford (or Dodge) or trailers - strong, fairly tough and well-built., but heavy, bulky, and affordable...

Featherlite is a great brand and what I'd buy, if I needed a trailer again. Check racingjunk.com for deals (FL is aluminum, too...)

FL is partially aluminum but still a pretty good make. I had a local trailer manufacturer build me a 100% aluminum goose neck. Pulls like it's not even there.

AFAIK, Featherlites are mostly aluminum except for the actual gooseneck hitch frame (just the first couple of feet), landing gear, suspension & axle assemblies.  Even their reinforcements for winches are aluminum, if my trailer is any indication.  My 37' (including gooseneck) FL trailer tips the scale between 5-5,500# with a 14,000# gvwr.

Jimbo, how did your trailer guy handle the roof-to-sidewall connection?  I would love to find a trailer mfg. who made a one piece roof that wrapped around the edge and down just a bit, to a vertical rather than horizontal connection with the sidewall.  Those horizontal seams on top are eventually prone to at least some leakage, no matter what brand it is or how much they claim it won't ever happen.   DAMHIK

Mine's a Haulmark and is built very well.  I haven't owned any other brands, but I can tell you this thing is very nice!



My buddy owns a 35' stacker... Now THAT is an amazing pc.
