I'd love to have a 68 AMX.  They are awesome muscle cars, but nobody knows where to class them in most shows.  I've got a friend with a Big Bad Orange AMX and it's beautiful  :2thumbs:  They keep putting him in Mopar B-body class because nobody knows what to do with it if there isn't an AMX class  :smilielol:

Well, having one old car isn't enough for me and I just went to look at a Javelin.  I technically had one as my first car but had to get rid of it before I could even drive it and happened to find this through a family friend.

Original, one owner Big Bad Blue Javelin with Parchment interior and a white stripe.  It was won by the original owner at a Kentucky fair and he owned it for over 40 years.

The guy that currently has this BBB also has this little jem.

Split grill, scalloped hood.............kind of reminds me of a '69 Charger a little. :scratchchin:

I know I shouldn't say this here but the 68/9 Javelin was my first love as a muscle car... I have been looking for one ever since I lost mine (LOOOOOONG story :flame:)

Ok, pictures. The one with the information also says "new carpet installed" on the back side of the paper. Asking price is $8k. I have the contact info if anyone would like it.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

It's a good looking car by the pics.

It used to be the AMCs were bargains among muscle cars and absolute bargains compared to comparable "Big Three"  Autos.
Now this has changed significantly in the last ten years... AMXs used to seldom exceed $7K for good to excellent  examples with only restored examples over $10K. I know because I tracked the AMXs from the early '80s they were in my top three Among '69 R/T SE Chargers and '67-68 Shelby Mustangs. And the AMXs were usually a fraction of the price of the other two.
