Are the 1968 and 1969 Dodge Charger metal dash frames the exact same part ? ( non A/C if it matters )

I want to think the hole for the ignition switch should be different ???????

Thats the diff Bill. The ign. switch hole.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Is the top the same? I know the pads are different but I never really paid much attention to whether the frame actually had a point or not.

The pad is the diff. The frame is same shape up there.

well that sucks,But glad I found out now before I painted it
anyone have a 68 frame to trade for a 69 frame

Troy

I have a 68 frame (non-A/C I believe) but I certainly don't need one for a 69. If it will fit in the car I can drag it over there when I pick up the tank. You *can* at least use a 68 switch in a 69 dash since the outer diameter is smaller. You can't go the other way without cutting.

I just picked up a '71 A/C frame for $50 on fleaBay.  I'm converting my non-A/C car to Vintage Air, but I want the stock vents.  Now I have to find the vents themselves and the ductwork.
