All joking aside, I'm surprised that the dems want him to resign... Generally when someone does something stupid like that, the dems give him a promotion. When Barney Frank got caught with his hands all over his boy friends ass, they put him over the finance committee. I'm betting they will promote Weiner to Harry Reids job before it's all over with putting him right up there with pelosi.

Anthony Weiner's wedding to wife Huma Abedin was officiated by none other than William Jefferson Clinton. That's right, just when this scandal couldn't seem to get any more ironic (see the Congressman's last name), the story has unraveled that the notoriously concupiscent President Clinton oversaw the marriage of Rep. Weiner. What's more, Weiner's wife, Huma Abedin, serves as an aide to Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. Anthony Weiner and Abedin were married 11 months ago in a ceremony before Bill Clinton, at which Hillary was also present.

This scandal is getting kind of difficult to comprehend. Especially when considering that just today new sources have disclosed that Weiner maintained an electronic relationship with famous porn star, Ginger Lee, via electronic media. One must really wonder about how Abedin is coping.

Weiner, 46, said he and Abedin, 34, "have no intention of splitting up over this" and maintained that he had not met the women with whom he corresponded. He did, however, admit that some of the inappropriate communications with other women happened after he and Abedin were married. He said that his wife knew about his pre-marriage online activities with women--but she was not aware that he had been lying for the past week about an explicit photo he posted to his Twitter account.

What's lost in the fold here is the fact that this is a truly tragic situation for a high-profile couple that was just recently married. From John Edwards to Arnold Schwarzenegger to Elliot Spitzer to Clinton, these are public officials who were elected to serve as paragons of civic virtue. They have each in turn proceeded to give men everywhere a bad name.

They guy is a total asshole, and it's not because he's affiliated with any type of politics. Assholes are just assholes. Red, blue, or purple (and there's plenty of all of them)
