I received an interesting e-mail requesting photos and info on Petty's Talladega.  I asked him if I could post it here with his contact info and he said okay.  So, if you can help him out it would really help the museum out.  Looks like a cool museum to visit if you're ever in Tennessee, lots of Mopars!

"Hi, .
.  any pics you could help with would be greatly appreciated  What I have is a ford Talladega,, it is currently in the FLOYD GARRETT MUSCLE CAR MUSEUM,,  In  Sevierville, this is the car that was painted Petty blue to use in Ford publicity photos in 1969,  I will attach a few pics, you can see the blue still in the cowl,,  these two cars were sold to  the late Banjo Mathews  back in 1971. These are both prototype talladegas any help would be greatly appreciated, what I need is a pic of the car in 1969 when the blue paint was on it,, so I can put it back in that day,,
thanks for your time,,

Just for grins, does anyone know if his history is correct or at least viable?   :shruggy:

From the people that I met at the last reunion at Talladega someone here probably worked on it or knows a person that did.

I have not heard the blue paint story on the white Banjo T.    It could be true, but I have not seen pics of it.

Doug, You are killing me!
Granny doesn't know whether to sh** or wind her watch when it come to old NASCAR topics.
That's goes double for just about everyone in the clique over there.
On the other hand, if the query relates to rythmic, circular, gesticulations, that may just be  the spot to hang out.
