1st Saturday of the month, so it means it must be cruise night time here in Amarillo  :coolgleamA:

As usual we had a great turnout.  When I pulled in (obviously last if you are the one that shoots everyone leaving Sonic, haha) I spotted a 68 Charger I hadn't seen before.  Turns out it was a guy and his wife I'd talked to for the last 3 years about misc. parts and it was fresh out of the shop and riding on brand new rubber.  They were very proud to be out in the Charger and showing it off.

I'll get pics up when I get a chance, for now all I've got is the video.  I did manage to catch the 68 as they left though, consider that the DodgeCharger.com bonus footage of the clip  :yesnod:

For your viewing reference there is a 68, 70, and 72 Charger to be seen...the rest ranges from a 1916 Dodge, plenty of 60s-70s muscle cars, one of the nicest Warlocks you will ever see, all the way up to new Challengers and a Viper.  I missed a few cars in the vid, but the pics will cover everything.

Check it out and enjoy:

Not a problem, glad you enjoyed it...I'll get the missed cars pics up.

I finally tracked down one that had been avoiding me for about 5 years.  This goes back to wrapping up a senior semester at WT.  I had an Amarillo cop in the club (drives a Petty Blue 72 Charger) tell me he was working construction on I40 and saw a "chick about your age" go by in a drop top Barracuda.

Naturally I was excited, and coming from him it was believable.  I had a few more comment on seeing "her" and by that point I figured it was a pipe dream...PettyBlue had probably seen someone passing thru town and the others were just messing around (it happens when you are selective and feel the need to maintain the Mopar blood line, haha).

Well last night I spotted the droptop Barracuda coming in...It wound up about 150 cars to the west of our area.  I high tailed it over there and was able to FINALLY meet the owners.  Turns out the guy and his wife have had the car for years, she drives it often, and they are wanting to get seat belts installed so they can haul all 3 kids around.  I told the lady the story and it made her day...They will have been married 10 years this year and a Sgt. in the APD had her pegged for about 21, lol.  Very nice couple and they are going to sign up on the forum and join the club.  Not the ideal ending, but hey, I got to see the car, met some more Mopar people, and we have a very nice droptop Barracuda in the club...I'm content with that  :icon_smile_cool:

Thanks for the video and the story about the drop-top Barracuda you were searching for. Hope to meet up with you next year now as my progress has slowed a lot due to my health right now. Sure hope it gets better sooner rather than later but, the Charger will be finished!

Thanks again for the video and story.

Sounds good, we are hoping to have an even better turnout at Chryslers in the Canyon III this year  :coolgleamA:

That will already give me something to look forward to for CIC IIII  :coolgleamA:

My home computer is maxed (again) and the pics are off the SD card, it may be awhile before I can get mine up...however, one of the guys in the club took a few shots.

Here is the illusive drop top Barracuda:

And now I have a new fish to catch, didn't even see it to get it in the video:

Half of us didn't even see this car, guess the owner parked, wallked, and drove off...we'll find them eventually.

I have a lot more of the drop top, just need time to clear off and upload etc.
