Do you know where I can get  brushes for my alternator. I believe it is the original one in my car. I have a 69 charger RT w/440. Seems that yearone doesn't have alternator brushes.
Thanks

rockauto.com has replacement brushes and bearings.  Basically everything you need to rebuild an alternator yourself!

it shouldn't be that hard. I'm locally able to find, being overseas, althought not everywhere.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

pepboys had an alternator but not brushes that I could find.
I found several alternator brushes on rockauto.com, but none that were categorized under charger:

this seemed to be for 440:
STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # EX87  {Click Info Link for Alternate/OEM Part Numbers1972196, 2084673, C700, GBC301}
37 or 46 Amp; Prestolite Alternator

there were several options that came up for 440, but I have no idea which one to get.

The alternator brushes are not unique to the Charger.

The following brushes from Rock Auto will work assuming you are still using the original mechanical voltage regulator.

Thanks Plumcrazy: I also found these at rockauto. I am still using the original mechanical voltage regulator, like you presumed, but will these also be correct?

Another alternative is this website offering rebuild kits:  http://www.alternatorparts.com/chrysler_alt_repair_upgrade_kits.htm

This was a great site Ronnman, but a bit pricey though. Anyone have experience with them? And what would be the reason for f.ex wanting and using a CHRYSLER ALTERNATOR 105-AMP UPGRADE KIT ?
