Beat the Chevys in Chevy Country

I went to the Foothill Classics Show at Valley Springs (California) on Saturday 5-28. It's south of Sacramento, west of Stockton. 275 cars attended. This being Chevy country, and the judges all owning them, and the spectators all driving them, it really was a Chevy show. Only 5 Mopars in the 275. About 50 Fords, a couple Willys and Studebakers.

Peoples' Choice went to a '34 Dodge truck (yeah!) except it had a small block chevy (boo). The judges best truck award went to a '39 Ford (ok!) except it had a small block chevy (boo). The raffle was for a crate 350 sbc. That should have been my first clue when I saw the flyer in April.

Every other category of award (but one, so 22 of the other 23) went to a Chevy. I was the lone Mopar getting recognition, judged as Best Motor.

I can't wait for the Mopar shows in NorCal to escape this Chevy nonsense.
