headliner bows.......help

i have a 69 charger that im putting a headliner in. the old liner was out of the car when i bought it but i think i have all parts. i noticed on the new liner that in the rear of it it looks like there are slots for 2 short bows. i have 6 long ones that the previous owner labeled one thu six. am i missing something or are these slots for something else? the slots are around where the sail panels go
