Vacuum needed for a 73 340 w/ stock distributor

Putting a Edelbrock Performer 600cfm on and I need to know which vacuum port to connect to?

Does the vacuum  on the distributor need  Timed or full time vacuum?

Edelbrocks manual gives me no clue and neither doe my 73 service manual.
