Welcome to the world of Mopars and to this site . My 66 charger also has a transplanted 440 and is a blast to cruse around with. I'm just down the road from you in Ottawa if you ever come by this way. A couple of first gens running around here, pretty unique model year and you will get lots of attention when running around with it. Drive it like its' stolen :D ( or just a bit till the wife gives you the hairy eyeball from the passenger seat )

let's begin to say, the 440 wasn't an option on 66

Nacho

That was said already in a previous post.

...and I have a 67.  I'm sure one of us can come up with an answer.
As far as mix and match, Brock is correct.  Other than first gen guys, 99% of the people who look at it will not even realize.
Have fun with it and hopefully we'll see each other at a show eventually.  Moparfest or our show (CNYMopar.com) which is even closer for you at the end of June.  Get out and drive it!   Good luck.
Bob/Syracuse
Hey Bob, if I wanted to go to your Moparfest this coming June, is there a place I can park the charger near the show, not really interested in putting in for judging, just like to park it somewhere other than the public parking, if that makes any sense to you at all. Also, what would be a decent hotel close enough to the show. Will be coming in from Ottawa, Canada.

Denis,
You'll enjoy our show.  Beautiful park setting and a fun day as you can see from the pics on our site (www.cnymopar.com).
As far as parking, it is a huge lot and yiu certainly could park it away from everyone.  But never be afraid to park with cars in yiur class.  We have your show calss and then a "fun field", which is a non judged park with your friends place in the show.
We get many people who do that.
As far as hotels http://www.expedia.com/Hotel-Search?c=71799e06-38ec-426f-ae8b-9dd15d89ae25&
And the ones I would suggest that are near are as follows:
Best Western Plus Liverpool Grace Inn & Suites
Super 8 Motel - Liverpool/ Clay
Knights Inn. Liverpool
Homewood, Liverpool
Staybridge Suites Liverpool
Holiday Inn - Livepool
Quality Inn - Liverpool
Price wise ... Super 8 is most likely your best.
If you come down, be sure to let me know.  We'll get Gibber and have dinner or a cook out Saturday night.

Welcome to the Charger club. Shame you bought a 66 as 67s are WAY cooler.  :coolgleamA: There are a number of us in here that can help you with dang near all your problems.....WITH the Charger. You should definately get rid of that FERD blue-BLACK is faster!  :nana: You have a killer ride there for sure. If you're this excited about it and haven't even driven it yet, I feel for your wife when you do! Enjoy!

Great car!
I have a '66 also, I pulled the stuck 318 ploy and installed a '75 440.  I'm not one to get hung up on the numbers matching or not, I just like to drive.  Soon the snow will be gone and you can putting on miles!

Hi GPULLER,
Happy to hear that the snow will be gone soon. Here in St Bruno Quebec (outside Montreal) I've got nowhere left to shovel the d*** stuff. Being from Minnesota, I'm sure you can sympathize. I plan to use the next few weeks to learn more about the car, clean it up and get used to the idea of having such a great car !!!

Welcome you have a great looking Charger. The color looks good to me. I am in Mo so our high temps are in the 40s. Its raining almost every day but it will be any day and my 67 will be back on the road. Dont worry about being original my car has all the trim gone and holes leaded in. I like it that way.

Do the head lights and dash lights work? If so, you're home free!

I hope our snow will be gone as quick as yours, Reed(lol).
I like the blue of your charger, I too have a 66 440 in my Charger out of a C body. I'm hoping the snow will be gone by July. :smilielol: :smilielol:
