rotisserie points

Just building the rotisserie for my 68; what are the best front and back points to build brackets to attach to? I was thinking the front bumper bolt locations, but the rear bumper points only seem to be double thick body metal. Any suggestions?

I mount our rotisserie to the threaded holes at the rear of the rear frame rails.You nee to use a spacer though,to not crush the rear valance.

I did'nt build one,I bought one(Whirly Jig),but here are the points where I attached mine.The front I used the bumper bracket holes in the frame,and the rear I used two points of attachment to make sure it was sturdy,the bumper bracket holes in the rear tail panel,and the threaded hole in the bottom of frame rail.As Brain said be sure to space it up with washers or you will crush the rear valance panel.After I had made it in place,I reinforced and welded it up,and some gussets to.Did'nt budge at all.NTM,the Whirly Jig has a "center of axis" adjustment built on it to properly get it balanced so the car won't go flying around when you go to turn it.Had it so close you could turn the thing 360 with one finger, and would basically stop whever you stopped and would stay right there.
Something for you to consider as you build yours.

I did the same as above from 69 OUR/TEA with my Whirly Jig.  The instructions from Whirly Jig even used a Charger as an example when I bought mine and they did it the same way.

I have a Whirly Jig, too.  As posted above, I used the front bumper mounting points, and the rear

bumper mounting points with a drop-down brace bolted to the frame.

I used two of the threaded holes on each rear framerail...

Overkill?

Probably...

But it's ROCK solid...

This way is pretty simple.  Used a hole saw to open up one side of the tubing to allow the washer to pass through.

Hey,I don't have my 69 charger on a rotisserie. But For you guys that are doing your own blasting,how big of a compressor are you using?And at what psi? I have a 11 gal, and its slow.

Just mounted mine on my home built rotisserie last weeked. Used the plans from redwing steel works. I am using the spring mounts in the back end with a steel bushing inserted.
