will the 440 distributor work on my 75 motor ? and when doing my big block swap into my small block charger do i need a wiring harness?

What motor? If it's another 440, then yes.
the 1975 might be Lean burn and that one is kinda problematic...(Two pick ups inside).
You don't need to swap out the wiring harness, but you WILL have to lengthen some of the wires like the distributor wiring, and coil wires....
