Hey guys and girls, I have a 69 Charger R/T and I got an electrical problem that I hope u elec wizzards can give me some advice? when I turn on my headlights or parking lights my left hood mounted signal light is dimly lit. Is it a backfeed or ground issue, any help as to where I can start chasing this down would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Bob

Try hittin' the turn signal for just a minute and see if it stays out for a couple seconds...If so, I'd like to know WTF it is as well.. :smilielol:

I say back feed from your left front park-turn bulb.....there are 2 filaments in the front bulb...the turn portion of the front bulb under the bumper is on the same circuit as the hood light...possible that the bulb is bad...like the park filament is maybe touching the turn portion of the bulb inside....try replacing it first

Let me understand this correctly.  When you turn your headlights on your hood turn lamps stay on lightly dim correct?  I Can say I have the exact problem. It goes out temporarly when you use your turn signals. I haven't looked into it yet but this is What I figured out thus far. When the hood lights are dim the dash signal indicators are not lit. The outside lights are all good. I think the problem is in the steering wheel turn signal clock mechanism ....but when I do figure it out I will post unless there is a answers now

easist way is run a jumper from the Bat neg post to each lamp and see if the light goes out

Yes when i got the car they were missing. so i bought them and they did this from day 1. Only left side stays dim when not in use, when ts is turned on it blinks bright then when it clicks off it goes back being dim.

I had the same problem and it was a bad ground at the front park/turn signal lights. Use your test and check the connection under the steering wheel from the turn signal plug. Turn on left/right turn signal and if your test light flash, you know the problem is not in you turn signal switch.  :2thumbs:
