I'm not sure where this should have been posted but it's unlikely anyone can help me anyway so...
2007 Dodge Nitro with standard transmission and a handbrake which gets used anytime the vehicle is parked.  Handbrake needs to be adjusted, it isn't too far but it does have to be yanked out nearly to the top of it's travel to engage the brakes enough to hold the vehicle.
The problem seems to be an intermittent brake warning lamp on the dash.  It functions properly when the handbrake is applied.  However, when the brake is not applied it will intermittently come on.  The fluid level is up and the ABS functions prefectly.  The intermittent portion seems to only occur during cold weahter and the colder it is the more likely it is to happen.  During driving thelight will typically go out but at a stop it will sometimes come on.  Not during the stop but after sitting for 5 to 10 seconds.
Any guesses?
