Six Barrel does sound like a lot more than a six pack though.   

What would you rather have a six pack of beer or 6 barrels of beer?   

To me, six barrel sounds like you have a very modified shotgun (3 two barrel shotguns welded together)....

I am sure back in the day there were references to some drunk drivers being in the six-pack cars...

I tend to do the same on Max Wedge cars. Although, I usually don't even say what the car is. I just say '63 Max Wedge and leave it at that.

the know it alls always correct me when I refer to my Bird as having the six-pac.

The same guys should be required to call every Dodge single-carbureted RB engine car a "440 4 Pack"...
