anyone have 68 charger YearOne engine wiring harness

i got a 68 charger i'm restoring i bought a YearOne wiring harness for the engine YO part # HU187X for 383-440 it says it's a stock harness from what i read. anyone else buy this harness? i am asking because i now am switching to an MSD full electronic ignition and want to know whats all involved in modifying this harness to run the MSD setup? if you will have to hack it up or anything i may just sell this one and look into there modified engine harness anyone know more on these? they mention there for electronic ignitions and you will have to run a 70 and later style alternator anyone running the modified harness part # HU187XM  any help would be great

Do a search for bill evans wiring harnesses, drop him an email or a line, hell build you one exactaly to your needs. You can return the yo harness to em can't ya?

There's not much involved in switching but why mess up a perfectly good harness.

M&H (the place that makes them for Year One) lists HU187XM on their website as ENGINE HARNESS, DODGE & PLYMOUTH, B-BODY 383 OR 440 CI., with electronic ignition & updated alternator. Not sure why it's not on the Year One website but M&H lists it. :shruggy:

Sounds like the one you want. You shouldn't have to do any modifications.

Thanks FLG i may end up contacting him to make me one. i bought this harness a good year or 2 ago as i was going the stock route but now i'm upgrading to full MSD electronic ignition and i want to upgrade my alternator also to the one you got in your serpentine kit (i plan on purchasing to). or going with alittle higher amp yet. so i don't know if they will let me return it. i agree on not hacking up a new harness when theres other options

YearOne does have it listed in there catalog i was going stock route but now plans changed i'm sure everyone knows how that is when they see something they like. :rofl:  FLG  forgot to ask if the YO harness  part #HU187XM is made for the alternator included in your serpentine kit? if so i'll get that one and will have my other harness for sale if anyone is interested PM me new still in the plastic bag it came in not opened
