Can someone please post some pictures of a 73 kickdown linkage, I need the area where the throttle cable and kickdown mount on manifold and to carb.

Thank you in andvance!

Hope this helps,

First ones 3 piece, second is single piece

If you require further pictures, ill take ones of my 400 with a single piece rod.

AirborneSilva

Thank you FLG, this is what I got but it doesn't make any sense to me, I just don't see how it works.  Would you please take a picture of your 400?

FLG

Mines a bit different, just realized...but...

Your missing the part that goes from the where it bolts on the manifold to the carburetor. The slotted piece to be exact.

Also it appears your not using the correct throttle lever adapter, you need this

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-1481/

To position the throttle correctly for the kickdown rod

Stole this off another post,

this is what mine looks like

Also heres a close up picture of how yours should look complete

THANK YOU!!!!  That is a BIG help!  Now it makes sense, and thank you for the link too, I'll order that today.

Silva,
I have the same set up as you.  Someone put the spacer under the ElBr to covert and never did it properly.  I got the same piece as FLG listed.  I believe mine was at AutoZone.

Huh, Sounds like he must have owned my 73 at some point then as well..   ;D

FLG

Must have owned mine too if thats the case!  :icon_smile_big:

Silva,

want to make sure its a 400 motor on there? otherwise the bracket on the intake is going to be different (im pretty sure considering the 400 sits lower than the 440)

The picture is of a 400 but I am putting in a 383 (which is the same motor), the 400 has a hole in the block so I am putting in my 383 that I had built for my Polara which is no where near ready for a motor, I will down the road be putting a 440 in the Charger though.

FLG I'd like to get your kick down setup, let's talk cheese.  It should fit into one of those boxes the post office sells "if it fits it ships" or I will pay for any other preferred shipping of your choice, I want to have this thing going in about three weeks...

Thanks........

FLG

Np I'm off wed and Thursday.

Pm me your address Ill ship it out wed give you a total, i trust ya.

Ill give you the intake braket, springs, rod down to tranny, ill even see if I can easily remove the piece on the transmission just so you have everything I know worked fine for me.

AirborneSilva

Cool, do you happen to have pay pal?  I can put the money into your account as soon as you get a total.  I'll send you a PM now Thanks again!

FLG

Got your pm.

Yes I do, fgrand11@gmail.com

AirborneSilva

You da man  Let me know total when you get it and I'll drop it in your pay pal.
