Over on the Garage Journal forum is a guy that goes by the name of e-tek. His resto website mentions a product that Eastwood sells called "Internal Frame Coating w/Spray Nozzle". I wish I found this when I needed it a while back, but I plan to order some & use it on another part of my car anyway. I know body shops have spray wands, but a lot of us don't invest in spraying equipment & do what we can with spray cans or brushes. This stuff looks good & there is a video showing it being sprayed the inside of a frame rail.

I thought I'd pass this on in case anyone else needs something like this.   :2thumbs:

Here's what works great and is inexpensive
Undercoating gun http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130260932366&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
container            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120476499851&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
spray wand         http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120553594099&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT

Yeah, that's not a bad price for those items. I may consider doing something like that if I know I'll be spraying a lot of areas, but for now I'll try the Eastwood stuff. I don't want to get into buying anymore equipment for the compressor just yet, & like the idea of a disposable spray can right now for the few things I need to paint. Thanks.

I used it in my rockers and plan to get more for the frame. I don't know how it stacks up chemically but it sprays and looks like the pics. I'd estimate buying a little more than the suggested amount of cans per car, though.   :Twocents:

I do know that what dripped on the floor of garage is a pain to get up once it dried!

AirborneSilva

I too have used this on my rear frame rails for my Polara and plan to use it for the front rails as well, also on my Charger.  Like JerseyJoe said, it dries hard.  I taped a stretched out coat hanger to the end of it so I can snake it into the holes in the frame rails, worked good  :2thumbs:

I would think spraying every year with a product like krown that keeps wet and seeps into the crevices would be much better?.........

AirborneSilva

This stuff dries hard as a rock and seals out moisture = no rust just my  :Twocents:
