I've never seen one of these for sale, does anyone repop them?  My car didn't come with one but I thought it would be a great way to add an aftermarket radio and not have to screw with things...

I always figured if I wanted to go that route, I would pickup a radio delete - blank bezel and somehow "very carefully" cut/route a hole in it.  They are $80 at B/E&A.  Although, they are not completely flat and have an indentation.  So, I do not know how well a std. 1 din radio would fit or the flat bezel from the old cassette players that extended past the knobs a bit.

I have a 71, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the cassette player mounted to the console or floor right?

Hi, sorry.  I was going to say that my answer was only if you had a 2nd gen.  I have no clue for the 3rd gens.  I checked your sig. and profile to see, but I didn't go search a bunch of posts.  :shruggy:

You might have to go this route. mounting an aftermarket unit under the glove box area.

Spider, mine has a Factory console housing (the same as Maxwellwedge) Mine's a 3rd gen Charger (72 SE) to the best of my knowlege, that's how 3rd gen's came from the factory mounted on the center Console (not talking about Factory am/fm radios) mine has a aftermarket CD Player in it that's not hooked up.

Daytona R/T SE

This is the way I'm going to go on my '72 SE:
