I agree! since Bulge Hoods are quite hard to come by that's a cheap alternative.
I think it wouldn't look so bad if the flat hood had no center line down the middle of the hood.
I always wished 68-70 Charger's had a performance hood option (not just a regular flat hood)  :Twocents:

Brass

Can't say it's atrocious but I don't like it either.  (At all.)  It tries to make the car look like a Torino.

Charger-Bodie

The funny thing about it is that those scoops are very similar to the newer dodge rumble bee truck scoop.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

The scoop I can deal with... :scratchchin:

It's the wheels and seats that would go straight into the nearest dumpster ! :puke:

My Charger is hybrid, it runs on gas and on tears of ricers

YA the torino thing ! to each his own -I like the wheels 80s  :2thumbs:
What the Hell-Dumass !

Ghoste

If it helps, my hometown was once host to a lot of supplier plant for the Big 3 and for some reason the Fram factory had a big pile of shaker bubbles behind the building.  They all had a small hole punched in them but all the locals would sneak in there and steal these rejects and patch up the hole.  The other part to this story is that this was primarily a Ford town (still is) so it was really common in the 70's to see Mustangs or Pintos or blueovalwhatevers with Mopar shaker bubbles riveted or just bondoed onto their hoods.

The rims look a lot like what AMT (models) put on their 73 Charger  :eek2:
other than that i quite like it. if the scoop offends you, buy the car and change it.

i was more interested looking at the petty homage also on the charger page.

I actually really like the scoop. I agree it would look better with a flat hood instead of the bulge hood though ;D
