man that sucks, hopefully he had good insurance

It says the fire was intentionally set and I'm afraid we're going to see more of this; it already seems to me that it's happening more often. The economy is bad and people are trying to liquidate assets in an atmosphere where no one is buying so they figure the only way they can get decent money out of them is through arson/insurance fraud. If that's what is going on it's too bad that they apparently care more about their bottom line than they do the classic cars.

HANDM

All of these "fires" sure seem to be coming at a rather low point in the economy.......
I'm sure he has VERY good insurance

Darkman

What's the point of having these vehicles if no one even knew they were there and weren't beeing seen/displayed? What purpose did they serve? The guy probably couldn't afford to keep them and now look at them, no money and no "collectable cars". Complete waste of cars and money IMO and is also the reason why I believe a car should be driven and enjoyed!
Make it idiot proof, and somebody will make a better idiot!

If you think Education is difficult, try being stupid!

They believe it's arson but the owner is not yet a suspect. I'd like to believe that someone with such a unique collection would have more respect for such priceless vehicles. But you can never put it past someone desperate for money.

:iagree:  :'(
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

The ole lady says she was suprised they weren't better protected. They were in a nice building it looked like to me, she didn't even know what was in there. So I guess better protected would have been a sprinkler system? The guy didn't act like he was too upset though  ::)

If this guy can afford all these expensive vehicles he should be able to afford a sprinkler system.

Or good insurance which I suspect he has.
