can i install a magnaflow exhaust on my pipes that's all ready on my car. or do i have to buy the complete set magnaflow system front to back for $1100.00 bucks.

Hi.
5.7 or 6.1?
Why magnaflow.  Get 2 Dynomax ultraflos, cut out your suitcase, have the muffler shop fit them in and weld them, and then if you have the 2 bulky mufflers in the back like on my challenger, get rid of those and bend the pipes, weld the tips back on and blammo. exhaust for under $400.

If you want a complete system, I would suggest SLP Loudmouth 2 exhaust for plug and play.  cheaper than magnaflow and sound way better.
I'll find a link.

wait, here's the magnaflow system for $820.00 Still don't sound as good as SLP or Pypes Violator series.

One more thing.  If you go here, they have tons of info on exhaust systems.  It's the Charger forum that is geared more for the late model Charger. :2thumbs:
All the info you want.  :icon_smile_big:

Look up Zoomer's Exhaust. Not cheap but worth it.

If you want what is IMHO the best sounding exhaust on a new Hemi car is the Corsa system...again, not cheap (about $1200), but its quality.

But yeah, you don't need to change the whole system if you just want to install performance mufflers. You will need to get rid of the stock resonators (the two 'mufflers' behind the wheels).

Blastin Bob sells a pretty cool/cheap resonator bypass pipe kit that gives the car plenty of 'growl' on its own, even without the performance mufflers. I have the 9db kit by itself (rest of the exhaust is still stock) on my 08 Charger and it sounds great. At $150-250 depending on which kit you get plus the install (even better if you can do it yourself), it's also the cheapest way to go:

You should get this setup from Blastin Bob's.  This page lists the V-6 options that will work with your car and turn it into a dual out for cheap.

and if you want to change your muffler, then you can get a magnaflow from Blastin Bob as well.  Just call em and ask the correct size muffler.  It should be 2.5 in/out but get the correct length.
