Test and tune tomorrow at Bowling Green Dragstrip, gates open at 1100.  $5 to get in, $5 to run.  Let's see what a little jetting change does.

Jerry,,,I might go to the local track today,,,,just to see if i have any fuel pressure problems to deal with before heading all the way to Bowling Green,,,,,,,,,,,,
If all goes well,,,,,,,,,i'll let you know,,,,, I think they race at BG on Sunday as well ? ( and it's supposed to be a bit warmer )

Not sure how Jerry did,,,,need to get him to watch this thread more often.......

I did get out to the local track,,,,and had "another" best........... this is 1/8 mile,,,,,,,,, car ran a 6.34 @ 108+ MPH,,,,,this should equate to a 10.02 or less ....

Weather looks good this coming weekend,,,I might try and get to Bowling Green,,,,and see if i can get a "official" 9 second run / slip.

Couldn't break into the teens...ran 11.23, so not too disappointed.  I don't know if it was the 48 degree temp or if they didn't prep the track...or possibly more HP, but lit the tires on one pass, was running 120+ mph, but traction was a problem throughout the day.  60' picked up to 1.64...getting better but not great for a 4100 pound car.  Best 1/8 was 7.15.  I was able to help a new MOPAR buddy, driving a '64 car (Fury? Polara? don't know these cars well but a great looking car).  Doug I think you've seen the car, a red car with a hood scoop, iron-headed 440 that was running 10.80s.  He was having a terrible time gettting the car started, said he'd had the car for 14 years.  We discussed a while trying to help him with his starting woes (crank, crank, cough, on fire, put out, crank, start maybe).  He had a crank-triggered ignition run through a black MSD-looking box on the fender which he could change with another electronic box connected with a serial cable.  He said he was running 14 degrees initial and really, really fat at idle.  I suggested 18 degrees initial...car ran 10.68 (best he'd ever run) and started right up.  He then was bumping the 7500rpm rev limiter before the traps, so he called it a day but was happy with that!!  I was happy for him...and you guys know that's a good feeling.  Come on guys, there have to be more MOPAR guys in this area than just us.  I'd like to get a meet together at one of the tracks in the area next spring for a year-opener for us MOPAR guys.  Any takers??
