So I've been asking questions and getting info from this site for a while now and it's only respectful to share my project.  I picked this up in about 101 pieces but finally got the panels put on so I can straighten her out.  Enjoy.  :icon_smile_big:

Yeah, only the left side front and back corners will need some straightening.

The driprails will need most of the work.  You can see those pics in the paint, body, trim section, if you dare.   :eek2:

Thanks!  Wish it was looking like yours right now.  :icon_smile_big:

Right now it has the stock 318.

Parts I have for it as of now:
Eddy 750 (I know it's big but I'll see how it works, might trade out for 650)
RPM Air Gap Manifold
1 inch high velocity spacer (we'll see if it's worth a damn)
Cast 302 heads matched to Air gap manifold - will be getting bigger vavles, thinking 1.90 intake 1.60 exhaust
Aftermarket dual exhaust with no label (previous owner put on), but coming out of stock exhaust manifold  :brickwall:

Parts I will be getting:
340 repro comp cam
Block Huggers (haven't decided which yet)
Possibly some flat deck pistons down the road

It's a long ways away but can't wait to get some driving time!

Beautiful car, love the hideaways.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

What gears you running in it? Are going to use a 904 or the 727 it came with? I don't know what they put behind a 318 in 72 but figure its the old standby. Don't forget to upgrade the tourqe convertor while your at it. Looks like a solid car to start with...that means more money for buget build cast crank 408. :scratchchin:

It has stock gears, which I believe are 3.23???  Or are the 2.73?  Either way, I'd like to make a small jump up to 3.55.  I'm keeping the 904 cause I don't see my 318 exceeding it's limits.  And don't tempt me with that 408!  I've been eyeing that for some time now.  :D    I've finally saved up some money to start building on my dream car but by the end of this month I'll have purchased a house and a ring cause I need to act like I've grown up.  So she'll have to stay at a 318...    for now.

Any suggestions on a tourge convertor?  Going to be more of a street car.
