Mopar Announces Its Heavily Modded "Red Line Charger" Along With SRT8 Challenger and More. Check Out the Video:

With all the recent excitement about the 2011 Dodge Charger, the company is taking advantage of the buzz by showcasing the 2011 RedLine Dodge Charger – a collaborative concept car put together by both Mopar engineers and the production car designers. This beast has been lowered an inch with suspension changes that also enhance handling. The car's 5.7-liter HEMI engine is tweaked through the addition of headers, exhaust and cold air intake upgrades.

Taking the show theme to its max, the Red Line Charger rides on staggered 22-inch Super Alloy wheels, shod with Pirelli performance tires (265/35R22 front and 295/30R22 rear). Exterior enhancements start with a new, distinctive hood and carry on through custom designed carbon fiber front splitter and rear spoiler. As well, the car sports a unique side scoop inspired by that from the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T.

Kinda cool.  Still not a 4dr fan or cross grille fan, but mean looking anyway.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Well, in my opinion, from images of the upcoming 2011 to the picture above, the only change I like is the '70 door treatment.  I'm guessing the guy who suggested that probably got told "ok, dude, that is the only retro thing we're gonna allow you to do, now the rest of us are gonna tuner-ise it".

They said they let the employees loose on it but I find it hard to believe that some of the employees didn't say, "hey lets ditch the fugly grill".
That would have been the first thing I would have done.  I mean really, lower it an inch and add ginormous wheels and itty bitty tires?  So did the execs tell the employees, here is what you can and can't do?  Because you know at least a few of them said, "hey let's make it a 2 door".  Why not, it's for SEMA, not like anything from SEMA ever gets put into production anyway...........

Just my 2 cents.

P.S.: Saw a bumper sticker on a 2007 impala yesterday that said "I'd rather drive this and ruin the impala name than drive a 4 door with the name charger on it!"  Laughed so hard I almost wrecked my wife's car.    :hah:
