Lower quarter patch panels...which ones?

I need to replace the lower rear quarters but the patch panels need to extend to the middle of the wheel well. Is the Goodmark panel decent quality enough or should I get the AMD panel and make my own patch for the top of the wheel well?

Also, what is the best way to weld it? Follow the arch of the wheel well or square it off...do it in 90 degree angles?

Thanks!

Will you have to patch the sail panel area too ? If you need the whole wheel well opening i assume the sail panels must be shot too.

If you consider the time involved, warpage of welding in the middle of the panel and the time it will take to putty it and straighten the quarter those full AMD 1/4's are cheap in comparison.

Plus all it takes is 1 pinhole in the weld seam of the patch panel and in time it will be bubbling out. Then a second resto.

The full 1/4 once installed almost no finishing/bodywork

the patch panel is ~$200 plus the price of the sail panel so your up over 1/2 the price of a full 1/4. Some vendors are selling full 1/4's in the 600 range.

After working with the AMD panels I wouldn't by anything else.
