Pretty Cool Vintage Video of Road Testing a Brand-New '69 440 Plymouth GTX. Watch it Here:

From its first introduction in 1967 as the gentleman's muscle car option, the Belvedere GTX, the big B-Body followed the changes in styling and performance equipment while supplying a rich supply of accoutrements like wood grain interior accents, electric power windows and power convertible roofs, power steering, power front disc brakes, front and rear sway bars, and leather seats.

Yeah, I thought that was odd too. If you watch the other videos on the YouTube listing (especially the '69 HEMI Charger 500 one), they do all the 1/4 mile tests. I hate to think that the GTX was slow enough for them not to want to disclose it.

That was cool!! The GTX is my 2nd favorite Mopar behind the Charger. If I ever win the lottery I will be getting one of those.

I used this video when I was adding back the A/C set up back to my Charger....

Compare 1:04 of the video to my engine compartment ;)

Cool video just like the 69 Hemi Charger clip.  What's the markings on the right valve cover stand for Chris?  Your compartment is picture perfect.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

"916" are the 3 digits on the broadcast sheet denoting a 440 auto with A/C (from what I was told ;) )

Thanks all!

"the dash looks like the driver is running it and not a computer".   Very early for a computer reference.  Were they taking a shot at a competitor?
