How long is a set of tires good for? I have a 2000 S-10 with the tires that came with the truck new. The truck has 30k miles on it, no dry rot on the tires and great tread left on them. I guess I should be asking, is thier a age limit on tires?

From what Ive read and heard you shouldnt use them if they are over 6 years old, but if you dont plan to use them in any demanding situations, long trips, high speeds, heavy loads, difficult roads etc. you should be ok. I used a set of 10-15LT Power Cats from the early 80s on my Toyota for quite awhile and never had any problems with them. Its all in how you drive.
