I want to eventually narrow a Dana 60 rear end for a 68 Charger I have. I know where I can get a dana 60 posi 4:10 gear ratio out of a 91 3/4 ton dodge truck. I know it will not have a place for a pinion snubber but I was just wondering if this is The best posi set-up? would it be what they call a full floating rear end. Thanks

The truck Dana would have 30-spline axles so the limited-slip unit would need to be changed to run larger axles.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

you can put in 8 3/4 axles if you have your truck's 60 resized and then have new (or used 8 3/4) flange mounts welded into place as the truck 60 and car 60 are different.

this will require a jig to align everything ( mopar muscle actually did a piece on this i think about 2 years ago ).  I have a friend who just did this type of conversion for his 68 GTX.
