72 Charger Door glass adjustment???

     Wow, the adjustment for the door glass is not easy.  Any suggestions for where I can get some practical helpful instructions would be appreciated.  The service manual is not that helpful.  I removed both door glass windows and replaced back again after painting.  This seems like an art to make this right.

Bob, I know what you mean. Two years ago I replaced the driver's door on my 72. I spent a lot of time monkeying with the window adjustment, it's still off a tad. I just used my FSM as a guide. After playing with it for an hour you get the hang of what bracket controls a certain movement. Working on these cars has taught my something I never had, Patience.

I removed the metal clip in the top of the weather stripping, one on each side.   Some how this holds the top of the glass in place, I guess.   Did you still use this?   I'm considering taking it in to a glass shop, I've spent hours trying to get it right.   Thanks for the response.

Yes I kept the metal clip in place.
When you say service manual are you talking about the Factory Service Manual?
