Today, we went to put on the rest of my weather stripping and inner fender splash shields. I ordered all of this stuff months ago... And THOUGHT I had everything... I was wrong, and we only had enough to put on the hood to cowl seal, nothing else..

So here's what I'm faced with finding, and SO FAR, I'm having no luck with this stuff...

First, the little metal clips that hold the hood to radiator seal on. Who has those?!?! I can't find them on EBay. This is one...

Next, I bought door weather stripping... Little did I know it didn't come with the proper screws for the back side (near where the top of the door meets the front fender).. no big deal, I can probably find those locally. The kit also didn't include the "big" rubber pcs that are needed at the top of each door where it meets the rear quarter.. I just found those on EBay...

Last, my inner fender spash shields. I bought them AND the main pcs of rubber that run along the bottom of them... I could have sworn I got the top rubber, but apparently didn't.. Those, I have not been able to locate:

Last --- Does anyone know who makes, or sells, a nice set of plastic covers that goes over the tail lights inside the trunk?? I'd like to finish off the look of the trunk with a nice set.

OK, THIS IS LAST... The "wiring diagram", so to speak, for the vacuum system that operates the headlight doors..

the vacuum lines are color coded

yellow/amber ---- stripe  to top of the headlight door vacuum actuator

plain no stripe ------ to the bottom of the headlight  door actuator

green stripe ----- to the vacuum canister under the battery tray

That's what I was afraid of... not only is the switch in my dash bad (leaks/cracked) but ALL vacuum lines were missing.. it was horribly rigged up before. Now they are just tied in together so when I open one (by hand) the other comes up (by vacuum pressure).  I'm not sure, between the cost of the switch, etc.. if it's worth hooking the system up for the few times/year I might use the lights.

how often do you drive it at night i guess would be my question.
i've never even driven mine in the dark come to think of it.
it's a nice to have thing but i'd wait until you find a good deal on someone getting rid of theirs cheap.  or.......

halfway down link to Norways Charger with actuators and pics.  Maybe you could do something like that without too much fuss.

Cool, thanks man...

How often do I drive at night? let's put it this way, I've used my headlights 3X in the past year.

as far as the trunk plastic...this is what you are up against.

most of them are junk but they are like gold.

I actually got mine from a member on here and he actually folded it in half to ship it to me. so of course it had a couple more cracks then it probably would have had he taken the time to pack it properly. (69charger2002)
they are hard to find in mint condition.

The tail light plastic covers', there's two kinds too to be aware of.

Depends on the eye brows for your lights.  If they're the longer one's like the pictured you need the deeper one.

Thought someone repops a aftermarket plastic tail light cover :scratchchin: LEON.

all i could find was a post on another site that said something like Mark Coates from TN was making them supposedly.  I googled some stuff and ran across an article from 2002 the id'd a Mark Coates from ABM Restorations in Kingsport Tn.  I googled them and came up with
833 ISLAND RD
Kingsport, Tennessee 37664
USA
I can't find anything else on them and thinking they are belly up maybe?

69-70 only. My thoughts are: They needed it in 69 and 70 so that the stuff in the trunk don't knock the bulbs sockets out of the light. 68 tail lights are more out of the way, although I know for a fact that they can be knocked out too.

Those are the same lights I have, right there

The seals I'm having a hard time finding are those that go along the top of the inner fender splash shields..  Any ideas?
