Do I enlarge this passes to match with head and block ? Or keep them sloted ?

I have not checked if My overheat problem is due the had gasket, but by the characteristics and the compression going to radiator due the blow in hose and water being pusshed out of the system at overflow bottle it sounds the reason.

I would match to gasket at most. Good Luck Nacho! Sounds like leak from cylinder to water jacket like you say.  :brickwall:

The slotted passages in the gasket aren't meant to move any volume of water, the slot connects the two holes that act as "steam ports" between the block and head.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

so it's best to leave them how they come? and not enlarge them to match the block and head ports?

The 'Steam Holes' are only there to insure that air is not trapped in that area below the gasket. The hole doesn't need to be very large to let air out. Don't enlarge them, it allows water to pass through instead of moving to where it is needed more.  :Twocents:

I have a question but will need to take some pics...

Removed passenger side head and found some of the water passes at block are sealed at gasket ( no hole )... forgot to check that at head. Dunno if you got me, but will try to pics tomorrow
