What is the throttle lever on the carb look like? You have a picture of it and the throttle cable bracket?

pictures of the firewall  and carb and carb linkage will help us to solve your dilema.   Throttle cable should simply snap into place onto the firewall

HITMAN 149

hey guys...
my buddy has the carb linkage brakets... (he took them to modify them so they fit better!?!? lol)
here's a pic of the throttle cable... i measured it & its just at 20"....
does anyone have a pic of how it looks on their firewall?!?! or just inside by the gas pedal?!?!?
thanks!!!

I'm guessing you have a higher intake than stock? You would need the correct cable mounting bracket on the engine to possibly solve this problem....would need a pic of that to be sure

I had to modify mine when I used the aluminum intake on the Daytona

HITMAN 149

yes i have a eddy performer intake w a eddy 750 carb....

They make a "modified taller" rear bracket cable mount....I just cut mine and added a piece to bring the clamp part closer to the carb.....it's hard to explain with my fingers

HITMAN 149

yea my buddy is "modifing" my bracket... but im not sure about the cable length?!?!?
what should it be?!?! mine meas just at 20".....

20" sounds about right....I can't measure mine, they are on the cars....but if you move the clamp mount bracket closer to the carb, it will give you more wiggle room for the cable itself....it's gonna be a tight fit....I have heard of some using a slant 6 cable that is longer....

HITMAN 149

how does yours stay "clipped" on the firewall?!?!?
is there a clip or something that keeps the round piece in place on the firewall?!?!?

yea...."E" clip goes in from under the dash....once you put the cable sheath through the hole...yours should have a little slot in there for it to slide into

HITMAN 149

ok.... so the lil slot on the round piece is where the "clip" goes on the INSIDE of the firewall by the pedal!?!?!
cause mine is just losey goosey hanging out!! lol
thanks!!
