Howdy Folks,  back nearly a couple of months ago before it all got busy for Christmas, my wife and I dropped our daughter at school on the Friday with her grandparents to pick her up and stay the weekend there,  and then we hit the road downcountry about 6 hours drive away for a meetup with our local Mopar Forum crowd. We'd already decided that our 6 year old daughter would'nt be too keen on an all cars 3 day weekend so we made the most of it anyway.

We did around 850 miles all up and only had a couple of minor hitches, one was a broken jubilee clip on pwr steering pump and the flexible coupling on the trans line let go and quenched the pipes with trans fluid. I had some spare fuel line and plenty of helpers so the fix was fairly quick.  We had a great time and Another fantastic weekend with Good Mopar People. Times like these make you proud of being part of such a great bunch of like-minded people enjoying similar things. Lots of kids enjoying the weekend too , great stuff. Around 25 - 30 cars on most of the time and around 50 people

On with the pics

1st up is Matamata statue of Gollum from LOTR which was the location for the village filming, we still had another 4 hours drive to go from here.

Next is John in his R/T clone Magenta Aussie Charger at the motel next to my 68 ,  they took long distance award - drove up from the South Island for the event.
