Good program to "snag" clips out of DVD's

Hey guys

I have some home movies I put on DVD and want to just put a few clips on you tube/myspace. Is there any recommended program that will let me take just part of the DVD? Right now I can only load the whole thing

you have the ability to do it right in windows media player, i believe.
