Hi Jesse, welcome aboard, yes you can stroke any Mopar engine up to 600+ cubic inch. The favorate is the 440 block or you can take a 400 block with a 440 crank and you have a 451, and tell
people you have a 383  :yesnod:
68 Charger, slowly in the works, 451 c.i. approx. 535 hp @ the flywheel, so far best time in the 1/4
11.21 @ 119 mph, full exhaust, stock suspension, 4:10s @ 3640 pounds.

Jesse,

You'll find that anything you can do with GM (or Ford for that matter) you can do at least as well with Mopar.
Everything costs more than you're accustomed to.
I am/was/have considered building a turbo motor. If you're not looking to play with the Big Dogs (aftermarket block) I'd look into a 400 low-deck big block for V8, which has the strongest thickest block, or what I was going to do, a slant 6 225cu. in. motor. There is a great deal of information about all the V8's out there, and a lot more about the slant 6, particularly turbo motors, than you might expect. Use the Google, the search feature on this site, search the web for Mopar forums and you'll find just as much information as for any other brand, and a tighter community as well.

You'll need two wallets. One for your bills, and one for the Charger

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

Jesse, if you've had a bunch of GM products you should already know how Mopars hook...

Use the search feature, there is an enormous amount of information about every question you could ask in here.

What else have you built and owned in the past?

You don't have to change the K frame to swap engines.

ACUDANUT

Mopar 383's are a dang good engine and they can rev alittle higher too.  Asking for a 10 second Charger is going to be tough and expensive. :Twocents:

well im thinking about doin fiberglass fenders and hood and trunk. and this is probably what im goingg to do
451 stroker
13:1 comperssion
aluminum heads 82cc
600 lift cam.
and a bunch more. but thats an idea.

ACUDANUT

Doesn't sound like that's going to run on pump gas or be street legal.  :Twocents:
