Hi, my name is ChargerBill and I'm a Gearhead.... :drive:

Tonight I was at a function where I knew about 100 people and it seemed like every conversation began with, ended with or surrounded the topic of cars. One guy wanted to tell me about the '66 Chevelle he once had and would like to find a repacement, another guy is looking for a '69 Camaro project to run at the strip, another 3 guys reminded me that I threatened to start a Mopar club in the area and asked when i was going to do that, and another one actually had pictures on him of the pro-touring '67 2 door Belvedere Station wagon he is building. Did I mind talking about these cars?...No, actually I was totally into each conversation - be it body work, tuning a carb, picking out wheels, etc... It seems like I never get tired of talking about, reading about, looking at, taking pictures of...OLD CARS!! I believe I am one of the worst of the worst of GEARHEADS...am I nuts? Anyone else go through this on a regular basis? Do you get sidetracked by cars constantly? Sometimes it even cuts into my workouts at the gym or my grocery shopping, and sometimes I'm on here when I should be working or out running errands... So, is there a cure, do we need help?...Why are we wired this way? I love it, but sometimes I get concerned about how much I love it...does that make sense? Anyone else?

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

I'm a Gearhead too!

I'm also convinced that I'm mostly normal.
*The nuts out there are the ones who are so submerged into their video games that they act them out in real life.
*Or the ones who are convinced that space aliens are reading their thoughts.
*Or the ones who spens hours & hours debating the shape of leaf "A" vs. leaf "B" from their leaf collections.
*Or the ones who posess the mindless urge to climp the world's tallest mountain...the one that claims lives every year...just because it's there. So they can be what...heroic?
Nope, they're freaks. We're normal! :icon_smile_approve:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It's not you who has a problem. It's everyone else who doesn't like cars who's got a problem  :icon_smile_big:

No, it's not a problem...at least not all the time. However, I find that when I'm talking cars, choppers, dirt bikes, mountain bikes, planes or boats I just completely lose track of time...it's like a worm hole, time warp, black hole kind of thing. I literally forget what I was doing, where I was going, etc... Maybe I have Gearhead Autism...or maybe I'm a Gearhead Idiot Savant. Does anyone else here lose complete focus of everything else when you're talking about cars?

My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.

I went to the doctor with my wife today. I ended up talking to her doctor about cars for over 10 minutes. I still had to pay full price too!
