I just had a new ch/ac installed in my house and I wonder if it is the right size. House is 1500 sq. ft. and the furnace is 66,000 btu with a 3 ton AC unit. Housr is reasonably well insulated and is in the Texas panhandle, where it's hot in tha summer and can get darn cold this time of year. Any thoughts about this? ???

I built 34 condo units 3 years ago. We used FHA with central A/C. The units were all 1200 SF in size, except for 8 that had finished basements and were 1700 SF. The gas furnaces were 85k BTU and I think the A/C was 2 1/2 tons. We've had mornings where the temp was -20 º and a few days last summer of 100 º. Everyone loves their units. I think you should be OK with your set up.
