yup thats it.  What it that on the front fender? That car sat next to my old bird now larrys black ice bird. and I tried to buy it for 17 to 20k.  but just didn't have the funds back then.  I asked my dad to lend a starving musician the money and he scoffed  those damn cars are worthless!.  so at least I scrapped up the funds for the bird . radke had two hemi daytonas at that time . this randy dude of cuda connections was doing his other one .  That is my favorite daytona.

That's certainly an eclectic bunch of cars there, thanks for the link!

I think it's just a reflection of something adjacent to the car.   :shruggy:

When Larry was painting mine I was real close to going with a white stripe.  I like them both though :shruggy:

You made the right choice with the red stripe.   :yesnod:   :yesnod:   :drool5: :drool5:

I still have the grill and frame, frame extensions and nose wiring from this car.    I had this nose tied to my roof of my 61 Dodge to get it home from L.A. to Palm Desert when I purchased it from the shop that had it when the guy (Bruce Henderson) died and his wife was selling all his stuff.  I didn't know it was Jim Radke's nose at the time.

When  I bought my bird from Radke  and the black Daytona was sitting next to it in his garage  ,the orange one was getting restored.   It was a mess.  looks like rats lived in the headliner primed in spots  deented  just a horrible mess.    But lord I wanted that car. I first put 1500 down on a nice driver 69 500. but then  just had to have the bird period,  man has owned a lot of cars. I sat in the daytona  and really liked the feel of the ball and that stick setup just as much as a pistol grip.
