After 41 years of Canadian winters how hard is it going to be to remove these bolts ? I have a 3/4" impact gun. Can they brake off ,strip? Are they repairable if they do ?
Thanks

I read in a mopar magazine that you should drill a hole on one of the frame sides next to the bolt and use wd-40 or something inside it to loosen the bolt.
Better with (another) hole in the frame, than a broken k-frame bolt  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Yep, what he said. The bolt will break or the welded nut on the backside of the frame rail will break loose and spin freely. Drill a hole and soak with pb blaster a few times or the course of a day or two.

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

that's a good idea. i'll be sure to do this when it comes time to take my k frame out to rebuild everything.

I wish I had seen this thread a week ago. :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: Spent 2-3 hours a bolt on the challenger with a 40"
long wrench afraid to brake them every second, luckely they didn't and indeed, it's rust on the top of them and a lot.
